About Chata Hamrovka
Chata Hamrovka lies in the forests right by the Sázava River in the hamlet of Kovací Hamr near Kounice. It is the last cabin in the valley — the forest begins behind the fence and the Sázava flows a few metres from the gate. Complete quiet and nothing but nature.
The cabin has two bedrooms for up to 5 guests — one with a double bed, the other with three single beds — plus two sofa beds for 2 guests in the living room. The heart of the cabin is the fireplace, and firewood is free.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave and capsule coffee machine. The living room has a large flat-screen TV with OnePlay and PlayStation. In the garden there is a bioclimatic pergola, sun loungers, a swing for children, a fire pit and a grill.
We have our own dock and gate to the river — ideal for anglers and paddlers. A two-person kayak is available. On the far bank is the popular Hombre Saloon, reachable by ferry or kayak. The Staré časy campsite with a pub is within walking distance.

Fireplace in the cabin
The heart of the cabin is the romantic fireplace in the living room. After a day out in nature there is nothing better than settling by the fire with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Firewood is free for guests.
Fully equipped kitchen
The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and comfortable breakfasts. There is a stove with oven, a fridge with freezer, a microwave and a Tchibo capsule coffee machine for your morning coffee. A moka pot, toaster and kettle are also available. Dishes, cutlery and kitchen equipment are a matter of course.
Two bedrooms and comfortable sleeping for everyone
Upstairs there are two bedrooms — one with a double bed, one with three single beds. The double bedroom has a ceiling fan that pleasantly cools hot summer days. The living room additionally has two sofa beds, so the cabin comfortably sleeps up to 7 people. A baby cot is available to borrow for the little ones. Everyone finds their own peace.
TV with OnePlay and PlayStation
The living room has a large flat-screen TV with the OnePlay app for streaming films and series, plus a PlayStation for the whole family. Ideal for a rainy afternoon or an evening after a day out.
Bioclimatic pergola and sun loungers
Under the bioclimatic pergola you can enjoy outdoor seating in any weather. Sun loungers are ready on the lawn for relaxing in the sun, and the terrace offers a direct view of the river.
Swings and a slide for children
The garden has a swing, a slide and an inflatable pool for the little ones, and a swing for older children.
Hammock in the garden
A hammock hung in the garden is ideal for an afternoon rest with a book or a nap in the shade. Before rain and overnight, just move it under the pergola so it stays dry.
Outdoor fire pit
Sit by the fire under a starry sky, toast sausages or just watch the flames — the perfect end to every day in nature. Firewood is FREE.
Grill in the garden
The outdoor grill in the garden is ready for your dinner. Grill meat, vegetables or whatever you fancy. Firewood is FREE, but we recommend bringing briquettes or charcoal too.
Private dock by the river
The cabin is fenced, but we have our own access straight to the Sázava River and a private dock. An ideal spot for anglers and paddlers, from where you set off right onto the water.
Two-person kayak FREE to borrow
We have a two-person kayak ready for guests — and using it is completely free, included in the price. A great way to explore the Sázava and its surroundings straight from the water. Just walk down from our garden to the dock and set off.
Fenced grounds
The whole property is fenced, so you do not have to worry about children or pets. Dogs are welcome here — they can roam the garden freely with no fear of escaping. The fence also ensures privacy and quiet throughout your stay.

Simple pricing with no hidden fees
How the price is calculated
- A flat rate of 4 000 Kč per night, minimum stay 2 nights.
- A Friday–Sunday weekend (2 nights) is a flat 12 000 Kč.
- For stays longer than 2 nights (even over a weekend) it is 4 000 Kč per night.
- The price includes electricity, firewood, Wi-Fi, parking, use of the two-person kayak and garden games (badminton, croquet, ring toss). We charge no cleaning fee.
- A dog is a fee of 200 Kč / night.
- Along with the payment, a refundable deposit of 3 000 Kč is transferred, which we return after your stay.

The cabin stands in the forests by the river in the hamlet of Kovací Hamr near Kounice — not in a village, but deep in nature. It is the last cabin in the valley, so you will find only quiet, forest and river here. You reach it by car on a local road.

Cleaning — no fee, based on trust
We trust our guests. We charge no cleaning fee — we believe you will leave the cabin in the same state as you found it on arrival.
- Wash the dishes and put them away
- Take the rubbish to the container at the entrance to the forest cottage area
- Sweep or vacuum the floors
- Leave bedding and towels folded on the beds
- Close the windows, lock up and return the keys to the safe
If the cabin is left in a mess, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee afterwards.
